Southampton duo The Vitrines return all guns blazing on their new gnarly post-punk single ‘You Give Me Chills’.
Following the success of January’s single ‘Something New’ and the departure of drummer Morgan Haynes, The Vitrines’ frontman Alex Donovan brings Billy Houghton onboard.
Back with a no-nonsense attitude, ‘You Give Me Chills’ is a high-octane anthem with rock ‘n’ roll-esque guitars and snarling punk vocals. Featuring fuzzy guitar melodies, powerhouse drumming, and a relentlessly hooky chorus that takes the song to the next level.
On their ruckus of a single, they added: “The track really looks into the possessiveness of after a breakup, even if it’s not justified.
“It’s like the reaction to seeing someone go out of their way to make amends when you’ve already moved on.
“We ended up recording it down south with us both constantly travelling around for uni, the track and whatever was happening at the time. It’s sounds class for a couple days inthe studio.”
As well as flexing their studio muscle as of late, The Vitrines are preparing for a three-date This Feeling tour in the Autumn.
