The Skinner Brothers announce new single ‘Lonedon’ and reveal UK tour dates

London indie rockers The Skinner Brothers are set for a busy Autumn period as they announce a new single ‘Lonedon’, due August 19th.

It’s the title track their new EP which follows on September 23rd, and is the first new music from the rising rock ‘n’ rollers since their critically acclaimed album ‘Soul Boy II’.

‘Lonedon’ represents a confident evolution from The Skinner Brothers as frontman Zac Skinner’s rasping vocal now possesses the soul to match its grit, a blend heightened by a more groove-orientated approach to the instrumentation.

The band’s growing versatility is visible. The EP is a present day example of how London feels to be a loner right now; paranoid and alienated. Its narrative reflects Zac’s own experience of moving to London as a teenager with the aim of making his mark in music.

Zac Skinner says, “I wanted the EP to have a mixtape kind of feel. It’s four different songs which I feel captures the essence of the band at this point.”

The EP was written, produced and recorded by Zac at his home studio in Brentford. You can pre-save it here

As well as the new EP, The Skinner Brothers will be hitting the road in October with a headline tour starting at Blackpool’s Bootleg Social on the 2nd and the KU in Stockton on the 14th. Find dates and tickets below.

Hotly-tipped for a successful 2022 following their ICM Awards Best International Act nomination, the band are harnessing the power of technicolour fun against a greyscale world to showcase their brand of indie-pop.
