The Night Café make surprise return with new single ‘Isn’t’

Liverpool’s The Night Café make a surprise return with a candid piece of melodic rock called ‘Isn’t’.

It’s the four-pieces first piece of new material since the band’s August 2019 debut album 0151. The Night Café have not lost their touch as this irresistible song instantly draws you in.

Effortlessly layering muted guitars, dreamy melodies and relatable lyrics together, ‘Isn’t’ builds on the deeper, darker elements of 0151 as the shades of American Football and Modern Baseball take The Night Café’s music to new levels.

It seamlessly invites you in on the track’s musical journey as the feeling of loss and/or betrayal hits home. It’s an exciting insight into what’s to come this year.

Speaking about ‘Isn’t’, frontman Sean Martin says: “‘Isn’t’ captures the feeling of loss/betrayal in a relationship.

“Basically just a bad relationship where both people end up disliking each other but the feeling of love is still hard to lose. ‘To go from love is so absurd, it pains me still to say that word, but I love you still’.”

With the new single, The Night Cafe have released a music video directed by acclaimed creative Charlotte Patmore and confirmed a new EP For Better Days will be released April 22, and subsequent UK headline tour for February 2022.

Tickets for the tour are on sale now and available at the band’s website here. The full list of dates can be found on the poster below.

8.5

The NIght cafe had been fairly quiet since their critically acclaimed debut album, but the boys certainly haven't lost their magic. 'Isn't' brings back fond memories of their trademark melodic indie rock. It's a step forward as they gear up to smash 2021.

Pros
  • Impactful lyrics
