The New Coast deliver infectious alt pop track ‘Cool Off’
The New Coast flex their studio muscles once again to produce ‘Cool Off’ ahead of their biggest collective work to date.
A seven-track EP is scheduled for release by the end of the year and this new track just adds more fuel to the fire on what to expect.
Kickstarting their ‘Valentino Red’ EP campaign with the critically acclaimed single ‘Tear Us Apart,’ the alt-pop pair from Kent are firing on all cylinders, Nick Blyth and Chris Cheater aren’t pulling any punches, as ‘Cool Off’ showcases everything the band represents.
This is undeniably catchy song-writing, with infectious grooving bass work, a pulsating back-beat and an arena-sized chorus. The New Coast deliver straight from the heart, to the heart pop music, and ‘Cool Off’ is no exception.
On creating the track, they added: “People are now so connected all the time but at the same time so content with disconnection. ‘Cool Off’ is anode to that feeling, not so much about being certain that something is over or wanting to give up but more that it reflects the throwaway comments of a throwaway culture.
“I’m always pushing myself away, my way to feel more secure is to say, ‘it’s over and done with.’”
The New Coast have the unique ability to be cinematic and atmospheric, whilst being completely accessible at the same time. This EP plans to shape up nicely for the pair and there’s a couple of shows in the pipeline.
