The Mezz are back with hard-hitting single ‘Lipstick Adderall’

Oxford indie rockers The Mezz make a grand return with their latest offering ‘Lipstick Adderall’.

The quartet have spent the past several months working hard behind the scenes since their single spree last year.

Hotly picked on the back of those singles as an ICM Ones To Watch artists for 2021, The Mezz carry on where they left off with ‘Lipstick Adderall’.

Despite the track’s thrilling riffs, captivating drums, and striking vocals, the lyrics behind it are hard-hitting.

Explaining further, the band said: “The story of the song follows a girl who has fallen victim to this in the past and is reflecting on the events trying to pull through the darkness into someone stronger.

“The song was inspired by singer Ben’s friend who was sexually assaulted in a club when out with friends.

“The aim of this song is to raise awareness for victims of something so sinister and horrible. Written in an upbeat fashion it is set to bring hope to those dealing with such things.

“It sees her overcoming the trauma and coming out the other side stronger with a more positive view on life.”

The Mezz have the capability of producing fiery indie bangers in the bag and they also know how to get the buzz going around a live show – they’re the complete package.
