Cambridge rockers The Greyhound Factory return with their third single of 2020 titled ‘Someday’ for their five-part series.

With more emotive tones than their previous single, the quartet reel in and out of a coming-of-age narrative in their lyrics at a pulsating 120 beats per minute. The Greyhound Factory love to reminisce on 90s English-Americana, and the lads have established a smooth melodic rock sound that’s getting noticed.

‘Someday’ kicks off with a groovy intro, the number gradually grows into an anthemic track as the mid-point is a striking breath from that guitar solo. The orchestrated guitar parts and nod to everyday pessimistic English life – this time in reference to old video shops. The artwork is even inspired by a haunting derelict video store that still remains in a secluded street in their hometown.

Working with renowned producer, Piers Mortimer (Deep Purple, Jamiroquai) to create a more 2020 sounding Tom Petty, this is the third in a series of five singles by The Greyhound Factory in 2020 after their previous releases, ‘Outside the Frame’ and ‘Genie and the Gun’.

Keep following ICM to hear the final two tracks in this series when they’re released, but in the meantime have your say on ‘Someday’ and leave a Star Rating out of 10!
