The Foolks bode well on 70s rock inspired debut single
You always want to make a good first impression on people and releasing your debut single is just like that. The Foolks drop ‘The Most Beautiful Queen’.
Since rising up during the Covid-19 lockdown, the band have an abundance of musical experience behind them. Now, this international project have come together in a set of circumstances could be the future for the modern band.
Formed by French Producer and Songwriter Emmanuel Dron, The Foolks is an elite group of musicians, consisting of lead vocalist Jamie Wiltshire (Cambridge, UK), guitarist Emmanuel Dron (Singapore), drummer Andrew Picha (Nashville, US) and bassist Charles Berthoud (Massachusetts, US).
Their debut single ‘The Most Beautiful Queen’ brings tones and melodies akin to The Rolling Stones and as the track delved into the idea of second chances. An opportunity to try something again after failing.
“Everybody can achieve their dreams, even if you are down in life,” said the band. “You need to pick yourself up, brush yourself down and strive towards the path of a better life.”
With a powerful guitar riff pushing the song along the entire way through, this track features a beautiful melodic bass adding depth and volume. This is paired perfectly with a jazz-filled drum beat that provides lift to allow soulful and punchy vocals to promote the track’s message.
The Foolks are an epitome of the world’s current situation. Basing their name from the words ‘folks’ (people) and ‘fool’ (crazy), they have overcome the barriers of Covid-19 and worked from around the globe to create a lockdown project unlike any other.
