Sundara Karma release three tracks on a new SoundCloud account

If you haven’t noticed Sundara Karma have dropped three new unheard tracks on SoundCloud then where have you been hiding?!

That’s right, the Reading quartet graces us with three Ulfilas’ Alphabet session tracks that the couldn’t get on the record titled ‘Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday’, ‘Invade Safe Space’ and ‘Vision Sick’.

Personally I think the album would’ve been much better with these three featuring but instead, they were almost forgotten about on “a dusty old hard drive”.

‘Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday’ has ethereal sounds that reminisce on the debut album Youth Is Only Ever Fun In Retrospect and ‘Invade Safe Space’ is a funky bass-driven number with upbeat vocals just like the good times; it encompasses everything great about the Sundara Karma sound.

‘Vision Sick’ has a powerful rhythmic drive similar to ‘Higher States’ and beautiful atmospheric instrumentalisation to round of the track.

In an email to fans, a statement read: “This is probably the craziest time in our lives to be writing to you and we hope that everyone is keeping well.

“We had a few big-ish plans for this summer: we were planning on starting to release some new music around this time in May, all in the run up to a new album that has now been put on hold. And like pretty much everyone on planet earth, we did not see a global pandemic being the spanner that was thrust into the works.

“So, since we are unable to get into a studio to record new music – we have found, on a dusty old hard drive, three tracks that we couldn’t squeeze onto Ulfilas’ Alphabet.

“Stay safe, sanitised and most importantly, sane during these uncertain times and we can’t wait to see all of you on the other side of the hill.”

Sundara Karma also revealed they had plans for new music this month but the global pandemic halted all work for the foreseeable future.  Hopefully, later on this year we will get to hear what they had in store.
