Strange Bones to tour UK for forthcoming EP Blitz Part 2

Blackpool rockers Strange Bones will be heading out on a UK tour later this month in line with their forthcoming EP release.

The quartet released featured single ‘Napalm Über Alles’ in November 2019 for Part 2 of the ‘Blitz’ EP series out on February 28th.

This collection of tracks is a sonic hybrid of venomous punk and crushing electronica that takes the Strange Bones blueprint to new heights, and is nothing short of innovative madness.

“Napalm is about our reliance on algorithmic happiness and the negative effects of building ourselves cyber space utopias in the palm of our hands, a contradictory escape from bleak realities. Take it as you want. Paradise napalm über alles. Back into your dream world with Alice” Bobby Bentham, vocals

The band collectively grew up on an awe-inspiring diet of punk rock, with their parents being one of the first to film punk gigs to VHS tapes under the name Jettisoundz/Visionary. Hypnotised by performances from the likes of Black Flag and UK Subs, the sense of community combined with blistering energy is something Strange Bones endeavour to recreate at their notoriously ferocious live shows.

The Sherlocks @ The Sugarmill

We take the trip back down memory lane when The Sherlocks came to The Sugarmill in February. Now fast forward seven months and they’re back to the glorious Stoke venue. Blaenavon are an indie rock trio hailing from Liphook/Liss, Hampshire. The band consists of Harris McMillan, Frank Wright and Benjamin Gregory. Blaenavon have bagged themselves the perfect Autumn tour by supporting The Sherlocks (which was their last gig with them tonight) and they will head off to tour with The Hunna, which they start tomorrow in Nottingham (22nd Sept). Blaenavon’s sound is completely different live, not in a bad way either.
