Strange Bones

Strange Bones have followed up on last year’s EP with its sequel Blitz Part 2.

The Blackpool rockers are a ball of fire; capturing the hard graft, unpredictability, frenzied and adrenaline-drenched stage presence, all whilst blurring the lines between venomous punk and crushingly heavy electronica like The Prodigy.

First song ‘Napalm Über Alles’ is an awe-inspiring punk rock track about our world’s reliance on algorithmic happiness. It’s a sonic hybrid of venomous punk and crushing electronica that takes the Strange Bones blueprint to new heights, and is nothing short of innovative madness.

That innovation continues to ‘Underdogs’, which features Calva Louise’s Jess Allanic. At just two and a half minutes long, the track is seismic, capturing everything that the Blackpool band embodies – hard graft, unpredictability, frenzied and adrenaline-drenched stage presence.

On the EP, frontman Bobby Bentham explains: “’Underdogs’ is a paradox, a reaction to the contradictions found within a broken system that’s set up for us to fall on our faces. It’s like playing Texas holdem with your leg in a bear trap.

“This second instalment of Blitz part two is the embodiment of my disillusionment towards an industry of takers, a narcissistic yet empowering viewpoint on life and its troubles.”

Rounding off Blitz Part 2, rock track ‘Ten Guns’ finishes off the three-track EP which is a well-rounded sound with shivers of punk attitude. It’s about forgetting how to breathe and understanding your mistakes.

Armed with an EP that hits like Tyson, an unquenchable thirst for second-to-none live shows, Strange Bones are shaking things up, with a sound that is undeniably exciting.
