New Forrest quartet Natives have shared new pop single ‘Warpaint’ on Friday. Released through LAB Records, Andy White (drums and percussion), Greg Day (bass), Jack Fairbrother (guitar, synth), and Jim Thomas (vocals) produce pop charmer ‘Warpaint’ as our exclusive Song Of The Week.
The positive and upbeat track features a sampled children’s choir and world-music influences has always given the band a special, unique tribal pop sound.
The new song is the latest in a recent string of highly acclaimed singles, including ‘Passion’, ‘Stop The Rain’ and ‘Chasing Lions’, which give a taste of Natives’ forthcoming second album due out later this year.
The band posted on Facebook; “We’re excited to release this one into the wild. It’s about coming together in the face of adversity and standing up to fight for everything you’ve built as a community.
“This song introduces you to a very different part of our album’s story. It’s also one of our favourite tracks to play live, which is great as we have around 50 shows between now and summer!
“If you like it, share it with your community to help build ours. See you on tour!”
