Song Of The Week: Youth Club – The Man That I Am

youth club

Seaside four-piece Youth Club return with a sublime new piece of indie-pop music that is our Song Of The Week!

‘The Man That I Am’ is typical Youth Club – set with an upbeat, foot-stomping beat and sing-along chorus, it’s exactly what you would expect from the Southenders.

The white brothers, Joe and Danny’s trademark guitar sounds kick in to take the song up a level, helping it skip – before the track bursts into life.

It’s a stunningly crafted and sublimely produced piece of pop music – full of fast rhythms and melodies, it’s a track that’s bringing the sunshine to a cold and miserable February.

Speaking about the track, Joe White said: “The Man That I Am is about being accepted for who you are.

“We also wanted the music to be our most dancey and energetic song. So hopefully it will have everyone moving and grooving over the summer!”

With a new EP due out in the Summer and a tour kicking off in April, do yourself a favour and get yourself down to see Youth Club. Tour dates are below.
