ICM’s Song Of The Week this week comes in the form of energetic LA band, The Eiffels latest single, ‘Body Like That’.
Described by Relix Magazine as, “sleek dance rock“ that “has the music scene in a swirl with their catchy ’80’s synth pop”, says Yahoo Music, The Eiffels have a lot of backing.
Their latest track is an energetic burst of unadulterated fun. The lyrics are somewhat questionable, they aren’t exactly a comparison to Alex Turner’s poetic thesis, although looking beyond this at the emotions expressed alongside the potential of The Eiffels’ sound, ‘Body Like That’ is a clear tune.
With summer around the corner and festival season practically upon us, this track has the possibility of becoming a true hit.
About the accompanying official music video that screams ’80’s nostalgia, frontman Sean Ulbs explains, “We wanted to make something in the spirit of the classic music videos we grew up with”.
The shots are drenched in color and playfully jump from split-screen performance clips to pop-art style imagery. Disco balls, fading clocks, and a spinning Barbie doll illustrate the fast life of the song’s muse.
