Song Of The Week: Satellite Stories – Painted Arms

Satellite Stories are indie pop quartet from Oulu, Finland consisting of The band consists of Esa Mankinen (vocals, rhythm guitar), Marko Heikkinen (lead guitar), Jyri Pesonen (bass guitar) and Olli-Pekka Ervasti (drums). After forming in 2008 they came up with ‘Phrases to Break the Ice’ in the fall of 2012. Now on their third album ‘Vagabonds’ has started to reach outside their homeland towards Netherlands, Germany and the UK.

From the album, ‘Painted Arms’ is a complete winner, similar to a Two Door Cinema Club-like song having a mixture of ‘Someday’ and ‘Something Good Can Work’. Just a couple of my favourite songs ever.  The song is completely in the pop with Esa producing some sweet rhythms that makes the song complete. Its almost like dreamy pop and Esa’s voice has an essence of pop in him.
