Song Of The Week is Sheffield based quartet The Starkins. (Vocals- Andy Daniels, Guitar – Matt Elliss, Bass – Will Campbell and Drums – Joe Elliss).
The young lads have been setting high standards in their local area with some impressive enthusiastic and upbeat gigs, their pop and high-octane single ‘Roundabout’ showcases their carefree attitude with a groovy drum beat alongside jangling guitar licks. This song reminds me of The Jam’s ‘Going Underground’ (There’s quite a resemblance). They create a rowdy, spinning atmosphere that perfectly reflects them as a band and everything they’re about.
