Song Of The Week: RedFaces – Kerosene

RedFaces

This week’s Song Of The Week comes from RedFaces latest track ‘Kerosene’, which was released on Friday.

The journey started at 2Fly studios in Sheffield, recording demos with Alan Smyth, the man behind the Arctic Monkey’s first ventures.

The young lads, Harry Lyon (Vocals/Guitar) Isaac White (Bass/ Backing Vocals) Ryan Laycock (Guitar/Backing Vocals) Charlie Yapp (Drums) from the heart of the UK have built up a strong presence with only releasing a demo, ‘Katie Come Home’ last year.

‘Kerosene’ with melodic and upbeat rhythm backed with tight vocal harmonies, Lyon’s voice is maturing and with that, so is their music.

RedFaces have seen a groundswell of support from the likes of John Kennedy and Jo Good at XFM, Steve Lamacq on BBC6 Music, BBC Introducing locally and most recently by Huw Stephens on Radio 1.

Don’t miss out, make sure you see them in the new year!
