Song Of The Week: Mallory Knox – Black Holes

Mallory Knox

Mallory Knox are this week’s coveted Song Of The Week spot as the band returns as a four-piece.

The band recently lost frontman and founding member Mikey Chapman after nine years with Mallory Knox. Bassist Sam Douglas has now taken over lead vocal duties in their newest track ‘Black Holes’.

The track has mixed feelings from fans, but ‘Black Holes’ is a great rock track. Fair enough the Douglas’ voice may not be like Mikey but on the first listen I was instantly hooked.

Taking on a new approach, ‘Black Holes’ is a fresh and exciting sound for the band that makes us look forward to what they will release in the future. Album number four is clearly on the horizon so it will be interesting to see if the next single will be anything like ‘Black Holes’.

Sam Douglas siad about the track: “I think it shows a completely different side to my voice. In taking on lead vocals, that was something I wanted to be able to show from the get go.

“It’s a song we’ve played at rehearsal for a while and we’re all really excited about integrating it into the set.”
