Sheffield band Knaves released a new single this month called Breathe. Knaves, have graced our ears with another stellar aural construction in the form of their debut single ‘Breathe’. Having already received airplay from BBC Introducing, it’s clear that this band is making consistent progress on their feel-good indie pop sound.
‘Breathe’ is an infectious name for a song, carried by Will Lloyd’s punchy beats, over which frontman, Dan Cunningham layers a rhythm-y narrative. There’s a racing, anxious pace to the track which is bound to consume the listener. Melodically, I think that Knaves sound a lot like Two Door Cinema Club; it’s jingle, with the pop guitar flicks adds a better effect in their great music.
