By Longfellow is an alternative rock/pop quintet from London. This includes; Owen Lloyd (vocals), James Thomas (guitar), Ali Hetherington (piano), Lewis Fowler (bass) and Simon Treasure (drums). They were also nominated for The Independent Music Award for Best Song in the Indie or Alternative Rock category.
I first came across them a couple of months ago after listening to their single ‘Where I Belong’, and was intrigued from the get go! Lloyd’s soft vocals set the pace to match the picturesque tones from Hetherington on the piano.
Their latest single ‘Choose’, follows the same lines to ‘Where I Belong’, but with the distinctive high pitch chorus to make it all that more pleasing to listen to.
