Welsh indie rock band, Catfish and the Bottlemen have been having one of the best weeks of their lives after winning a BAFTA for Best Breakthrough Act and with the recent release of their latest track ‘Soundcheck’.
Frontman Van McCann has spoken about their upcoming second album, and with the release of ‘Soundcheck’ it has all the hallmarks of a stadium rock song with their bold, mature sound. It is easy to see tens of thousands of people bouncing at festivals all summer.
Soundcheck has a vintage sound to it, it starts out sounding like typical Catfish, but builds into somthing with an older feeling to it – it’s a song that would sound good on vinyl.
If the rest of the album sounds as good as this, we have nothing to worry about. Listen below.
