Sam and Sounds shares emotion-drenched new single ‘Weird Day’

Crawley’s indie pop superstar Sam and Sounds has returned with a change of pace on new cut ‘Weird Day’.

The ICM Awards 2020 Greatest Discovery nominee and Ones To Watch 2021 artist, has been on a hot streak of releases since Sam’s debut last year and continues to impress with ‘Weird Day’.

Pairing the warm sounds of a ukulele with Sam’s pitch-perfect vocals, the track is an enchanting love song that sees the Surrey-born artist serenade the special girl in his life.

It marks his second single release in quick succession, following January’s ‘Silly’. He just can’t put a foot wrong at the moment.

“‘Weird Day’ was, at first, meant to just be a song about liking sleep!” Sam explains. “But it turned into a much deeper concept. The idea that dreams might be the only way of being with someone you love really appealed to me.

He continues: “For me personally, the meaning of the song was driven by not being able to meet up with or hold and hug my girlfriend during the national lockdowns caused by the pandemic.

“However, I’ve since realised that the lyrics to the song could well represent different situations to so many people.”

Sam and Sounds continues to be a name that keeps popping up in your head. His hot streak with another emotion-drenched single, 2021 is destined to be the breakout year for Sam and Sounds.

The Minnesota indie giants as you know it are “dead”. The new album ‘LP3’ marks an exciting new age as Hippo Campus explore who and what they are. Jake Luppen, Nathan Stocker, Whistler Allen, Zach Sutton, and DeCarlo Jackson have all been friends since middle school and have spent a huge amount of their life thinking all about Hippo Campus and what journey their band will take. But what we hear in the band’s third album ‘LP3’ is the individuality, self-expression and honesty. It’s been a long three and a half years since 2018’s Bambi and in that time we’ve
