Sad Boys Club return with electrifying indie pop single ’25’

London quartet Sad boys Club have returned with new single ‘25’ today ahead of a new EP.

Following up on ‘Know (Pt.II)’, the indie pop outfit talk about the “he willing delusion, the glorious romanticism, the friendships lost and the companionships formed on this foolish voyage into emo-pop heaven”.

‘25’ is a bold track with big hooks and testing vocals for frontman Jacob Wheldon. They’ve spiced up their sound landscape with a horn section, but overall, I think the song is missing something to turn it into a great indie pop song to remember.

Jacob is 25 with big dreams and this song has a brilliant bridge section full of electronic riffs and uplifting vocals to get you in a good mood.

Sad Boys Club are an ICM Ones To Watch 2020 artist and with this EP in the works, it could be a huge turning point for Sad Boys Club. We can’t wait to hear it.

Sad Boys Club will be supporting Marsicans and Slow Readers Club in 2021 which will be a huge stepping stone for the band to attract new listeners.

Getting to know Southampton newcomer Daring Darling

Behind the bustling cargo shipyard and cultural city of Southampton is the 60s psych-rock artist Darling Darling making inroads across the south of England. Already one year into his smoothly sardonic and enthusiastically empathetic project, mastermind Matt Bisgrove has released three singles including his latest ‘Strangers’. It’s one of Bisgroves’ most mature pieces of work yet. The twinkling sounds, vocal layers and soaring atmospherics are stylistically embedded like you’re playing it on a vintage record player. Incorporating a lick of modern R&B from Frank Ocean and The Weeknd, ‘Strangers’ is a tasteful play on love, heartbreak, pity and pain all
