Rozelle are moving at lightning speed with an upbeat and tropical-like indie pop sound as they share single ‘Get Out Alive’.

It’s the Bristol quartets third single (released May 4th) in quick succession and have already followed it up with ‘Tell Me’ this month.

Reflecting on the complexities and anxieties of modern life, Rozelle explores existence and identity in a tumultuous world. ‘Get Out Alive’ is a brilliant showcase of their talents. The track has an uplifting journey; going through all the pop motions. I’ve had it stuck in my head whilst writing this.

The soaring vocals grow on you and slightly haunting. Backed up with dreamy synths and a euphoric chorus, ‘Get Out Alive’ offers a different side to Rozelle, one that is both hopeful, and heartfelt; exploring themes of danger, fear and regret.

Front Woman, Hayley Smith explains: “Originally inspired by the story of Pablo Escobar – The track is written from the perspective of a character who can’t seem to escape the bad situations they’re dealt with – someone who is both comforted and afraid by darkness they experience… A bittersweet story.”

Within their tracks, they challenge stereotypes, address climate emergency, and confront pressures to be someone with it all worked out.

There are five more singles being released month by month until the end of this year so stay tuned for more! In the meantime, check out the music video below and please let us know what you think by leaving an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
