Newcastle band Roses In December are ready to rock ‘n’ roll with their vicious alt-rock.

Formerly going under the name Crux, the four-piece is rejuvenated and ready to smack you in the face with speedy guitar riffs, smashing drums and raging vocals on new single ‘The Day That He Saw Red’.

Trying to channel the inner mind of a killer from the North of England, Roses In December fuse together ferocious alt-rock energy with raw emotion. The band is ready to bring their revised sound to the masses with this mosh-pit-ready anthem.

“This is another song where we’re telling a local story of toxic masculinity,” the band says. “The lyrics to this song were based on true events. Our bassist created the hook to the song and collaborated with Max who put the structure. It all came to place within one practice.”

Working with Sam Grant from fellow Geordie rockers Pigs x7 to record the track, ‘The Day That He Saw Red’ has set the band in a new direction. Charged with a grunge attitude and rugged punk aesthetic, Roses In December are here to be a vehicle for catharsis, expelling their frustration towards the ugliest parts of living within late capitalism – corporate greed, toxic masculinity, the works.
