One of Essex’s finest post-punk trios, False Heads, have revealed their second album will be arriving on September 30th, 2022.
Produced by Frank Turner at his home studio the new LP – titled Sick Moon – marks another massive milestone in the band’s career and nods toward new music coming imminently.
Speaking about ‘Sick Moon’, the band’s first release with Scruff Of The Neck, frontman Luke Griffiths says, “The album is just a pure expression of everything I’ve felt and feel. It’s pure rage, isolation and alienation, yet also sarcastic and hopefully sprinkled with a bit of humour.”
“It’s also about how often the external world seems to parallel and affect your internal struggle. I get trapped into a cycle of apathy and suffocation with the idea of eternalism and eternal recurrence, maybe we have no free will and maybe we do all of this again and again, forever.”
The band’s debut album ‘It’s All There But You’re Dreaming’ was released in 2020 and comprised of 12 gnarly, outspoken real-talk, riff-heavy rock tracks delivered with maximum authenticity and passion.
False Heads are about to kick off their UK tour on Wednesday following the surprise cancellation of their Bristol show due to the promoter cancelling the event without telling the band prior.
