Pop trio HUNGER return with another chart hit ‘Light It Up’
Alt pop trio HUNGER return with yet another chart hit ‘Light It Up’ ahead of their long-awaited debut album.
Based in Vienna, Austria, the band announced ‘Mosaik’ will be hitting the shelves this winter with their anthemic pop and indie infectiousness. The new single instantly kicks into an emotive passage as the band describes their “freedom” and free-thinking experience in the Austrian Alps.
The band said of the single: “’Light It Up’ is about adventures, moments and memories we’ve experienced and still want to experience in our lives. It’s an anthem for going out and to live and experience life and its freedoms.
“We wrote and recorded the song in a little hut in the Austrian Alps. The ‘gospel choir’ halfway through the song was recorded in a tiny kitchen and is basically just the three of us and our producer singing in hundreds of tracks.”
HUNGER’s new single is the trio’s third release since their 2017 EP ‘Amused’ which saw the title-track featured in a Mitsubishi advert and as a soundtrack on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
Catch HUNGER next at the Hafen Open Air 2019 in Vienna on August 19th. The band’s debut album is also available to pre-order, which is expected to arrive December 20th.
