I have always had a sweet spot for Australia’s vast array of indie and alternative acts over the past decade and Scream Mountain are just the latest outfit to push through the ranks.
Since forming in Perth, the quartet have reached impressive milestones in their two years together including over 50,000 streams on debut EP Watercooler Talk’ and Triple J Unearthed radio play.
Paul Scaramella, Jordan Pawlik, Joshua Watson and Jack Nelson make up the ambitions alt rock band who have released new single ‘Rush’ ahead of their forthcoming EP ‘Drowsy Hours’.
The track, recorded and mixed in house at Scream Mountains studio space, – just like all of their other singles – starts off with a powerful vocal presence as a gradual build up of drums and electrifying guitar riffs add gritty texture.
‘Rush’ takes Scream Mountain to the next level as the band’s indie-inspired sonic aesthetic and solid songwriting capabilities make the perfect soundtrack. It’s intricately balanced with subdued moments alongside the epic and memorable choruses.
The band’s second EP ‘Drowsy Hours’ is due later this year. Follow Scream Mountain on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to stay in the loop on further details.
