New Music Alert: Sundara Karma – A Young Understanding

Sundara Karma, four lads from Reading, premiered their first track of 2016 ‘A Young Understanding’ on BBC Radio 1 and Radio X last night. Oscar Lulu (vocals, guitar), Haydn Evans (drums), Ally Baty (guitar) and Dom Cordell (bass) have enjoyed 2015 with the release of their second EP ‘EP II’ with hit track ‘Viviene’ which increased their popularity in the indie scene and also played alongside The Wombats and had a chance to play at Reading and Leeds.

‘A Young Understanding’ is another outstanding effort with crisp riffs, clattering percussion with a rising chorus, and then the subtle breakdown. This is Sundara Karmas’ first steps into the year ahead prove to be just as coherent as past material gearing us up nicely for what lays in store.
