New Music Alert: JAWS – Work It Out

Just over a year after dropping ‘What We Haven’t Got Yet’, and a month after dropping their latest single, ‘Right in Front of Me’, JAWS are back with ‘Work it Out’, a hazy and synth-infused track with a soothing, powder-pink aura.

If there was a band that sounded like what I imagine the upcoming reboot of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks will look like: it’s JAWS.

The Birmingham-based band teased new music online, changing the colours of their social media and tweeting links to their website & subscription link with each new release so far.

The song, evidently personal to JAWS singer Connor Schofield, reflects the idea that with patience, you will find your life path.

With a dreamy sound and a bittersweet feel, ‘Work it Out’ bears more resemblance to their debut album, ‘Be Slowly’ than ‘What We Haven’t Got Yet’, with the same DIIV-esque sound, and the perfect feel for their intimate, live shows.

JAWS’ second album ‘Simplicity’ will be released on November 4th 2016. They will be touring the UK in late November, and finishing with a show in Birmingham’s Rainbow Warehouse on December 2nd.
