When Libertine Gary Powell, The Godfather of Punk Iggy Pop and ex-Ramones manager Danny Fields make a claim that a particular band – False Heads – is ‘The future of rock n’ roll’, something in my brain decides to click. Very loudly.
False heads are a three piece infectious punk band hailing from the East End of London that are already making a name for themselves with thrilling live shows, Johnny Rotten-esque vocals from a cheeky young Luke Griffiths and a guitar bashing, hammer of dawn attitude that slaps that bitch smirk right off your doubting face. The heat from these guys is burning hard and there is no better time to jump on this band wagon than right now before they start to sell out much larger venues.
At a time when Grunge and Punk are making a comeback with Pixies bringing out new material, along with Radiohead and members of Rage Against The Machine and Rise Against all releasing great music; these guys are not feeling the pressure one bit.
Having already been swiped by 25 Hour Convenience Store Records, these guys are on a one way trip to successville and you should be a part of it
