Anteros, named after the Greek God of love are back with their brand new single ‘The Beat’. We managed to hear them completing their soundcheck when they played at The Sugarmill with High Tyde earlier this year and I was completely hooked. Their cool, cute and cheery alt-pop sound blew away the crowd and their new single The Beat makes me love them more.
Punchy but with just enough reverb to create a ‘summer’ vibe, the track bounces its way through three minutes of wistful choruses and punky hooks.
They also carry a super cool image, with the front-line lads love wearing Fred Perry T-shirts and the classic white-sock-black-shoe combo. They looked a little bit geeky or very indie, if you prefer.
Anteros will be playing their first headline show at The Waiting Room on September 26th. Tickets available here from 9am Friday 29th July.
