Modra Luna deliver stunningly anthemic alt rock
Indie-alt rockers Modra Luna release their third beautifully atmospheric single ‘Cure’ which is up there as one of the hottest track of the year so far.
Hailing from south-west London, the quartet spent most of 2019 circuiting the London music scene, playing venues such as Oslo Hackney, The Finsbury, Notting Hill Arts Club, Nambucca, sharing the stage with bands such, The New Nostalgia, Embassy, Sub Pacific and many more.
With their new release ‘Cure’ brings in the element of grunge and raw, heavy rhythms until you get to two minutes 26 seconds and the song breaks out into an anthemic tune with captivating new wave and post-punk attitudes giving them funked-up bass lines and a seductive synthy edge. Don’t forget that strikingly good guitar break out.
The band added: “Lyrically it is built around references to some of the tracks written by the indie goth genius.
“The dub-like bass line, chorus guitar sounds, soaring and luscious use of delay all combined with soft keys and a tight, punchy drum sound creates this unique sound.”
A new moon brings psychedelic rock and abstract ideas explored through hypnotic hooks and crooning tones. All these phases combine to create a tapestry of modern, fresh and unique indie charm with a surreal sense of direction.
Their charming debut single ‘Lola’ the second ‘Broken Toys’ is testament to what they can offer and it’s bloody good. Modra Luna is set to make some noise in 2020. Witness this blue moon rising. Leave your ICM Rating out of 10 now!
