Modern Age Music Song of the Day: Cucamaras – ‘Keep It Cool’

Cucamaras have dropped new track ‘Keep It Cool’, their second release of 2020 following on from ‘Lime Street Liar’.

The band recorded the song as part of a double A-side along with forthcoming track ‘Window Seat’.

Josh from the band says: “The two tracks are always played back to back live just like they are on the studio version capturing our live sound in the recording was really important to us.”

‘Keep It Cool’ is a razor-sharp riff-fuelled indie blast. There’s a likeable nod to early Strokes, with the ear-worm guitar riffs and fuzzed-out vocal.

Singer and guitarist Olly says the song is about “liking a girl who has a boring boyfriend with a very well air-conditioned room…”
