Luna Pines emit ethereal electronica and hazy dream pop
Leeds low-fi electronic pop duo Luna Pines return with new single ‘Bright Blue’ via CloseUp and Modern Sky.
The hotly tipped ethereal electronica outfit have made great strides on Spotify where their three singles have amassed over 150,000 streams. Impressive right..
Comprised of Lotte Van Den Berg (vocals, keys, pads, sampling) and Rob Oates (drums) they polished Dream Pop mixed with ambient sounds half-way between The Japanese House and Oh Wonder.
The latest effort ‘Bright Blue’ has a soothing beat as the hazy and distorted vocals bounce over the ambience.
They have played a run of Sofar Sounds shows around the UK, as well as a series of support slots and headline shows in and around their hometown over the past year.
They had a sold out London headline at The Social supporting their single ‘Uneven,’
The band also produces and mixes all of their own material, making them even more of a force to be reckoned with inside of the brilliant and eclectic Leeds music scene.
Recently, the duo spoke with CoseUp for our Artist Spotlight segment where they discussed how COVID-19 has impacted their scheduled and their favourite part of the musical process.
