Lower Loveday are infectious synth-driven indie pop
Deep in the heart of Worcestershire is a quartet called Lower Loveday who produce some sweet and infectious synth-driven indie pop you need to hear.
Their new single ‘I’d Do Anything’ reflects on a painful breakup using high energy synths and a relentless beat to convey heartfelt emotions. Crafted alongside northern production duo Sugar House, the single sees the band delving further outside their traditional indie rock influences to create a unique contemporary-sounding single, adding to their already impressive repertoire.
More on ‘I’d Do Anything’, the band added: “The song is about looking back on a break up and thinking of how it could have been and what you would do now to make things okay.
“You would do anything for them to make them smile. And that is exactly what the song is about, looking back at an ex and just that sheer exasperated thought that all you wanted was to make them happy, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Hindsight is a wonderful thing hey!”
Comprised of Tom Garbett (drums, Mark Washington (vocals) Ben Gillman (bass) and Chris Francis (guitar), Lower Loveday continue to push the boundaries further through experimentation and more electronic sounds.
Intending to produce music that’ll make you get out of bed in the morning, I think ‘I’d Do Anything just about does that perfectly. Listen now and leave an ICM Star Rating out of 10.
