Deep in the forest of Jacksonville’s music scene there is a new indie pop artist breaking through the undergrowth known as Lost Club.
Florida’s multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Garcia is behind the brand who started out last year with debut single ‘Easy Love’. And since then, there’s been no time for rest.
Yesterday (July 13) saw the release of new single ‘Alone’ steers Lost Club away from typically electronically orientated songs to jangly and melodic guitars.
Garcia’s voice is very smooth and melancholic which sets the right tones of emotions. ‘Alone’ is about someone going through the emotions of a relationship they’re not quite finished with, but still believe they shouldn’t stay in it.
The track breaks out into a fantastic guitar solo after the two-minute 34-seconds mark showing off his ability.
Taking influence from Last Dinosaurs, The Strokes and Graveyard Club, Garcia is a musician who’s in the early stages of his musical adventure and where he can be playful with new sounds and try different techniques.
‘Alone’ is the latest single to be taken from Lost Club’s forthcoming sophomore EP. Recorded n Jacksonville at Rockbot Studios with Josh Cobb, the EP is going to be an honest look into the emotions involved when developing a relationship with another.
Garcia adds: “I hope that this EP helps people to relate to themselves and others without feeling as though it’s redundant.
“We’ve all had these feelings before and I hope these songs can bring you to those places in time and relive some of the ups and downs through nostalgia.”
