Hot on the heels of their many sold out shows on celebrating their ten-year anniversary of their third album “Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever”, The Cribs have dropped a brand new track: “In Your Palace”, clearly in the mood to tackle whatever the future may hold for them.
After teasing the track on various social media, and giving the first spin to Steve Lamacq on his BBC 6 Music show, they unleashed the raw power and calamity of ‘In Your Palace’ online.
The product of a studio session with legendary Nirvana producer Steve Albini, the track shows the boys on an extreme top form, injecting an acquired, grunge vibe. It’s a biting return from the 2 long years for another song from The Cribs, and this one is not going to disappoint if you are definite fans of their earlier material.
The band have been handpicking record stores around the UK recently, to stock a rare vinyl for fans to get their hands on. The 7″ was made available at specific times posted by the band, with Jumbo Records in Leeds and Piccadilly Records in Manchester being among the locations. Further releases seem highly likely so keep your eyes peeled!
In the meantime, you can catch The Cribs at one of their summer festival dates, including Leopallooza in Cornwall, Oxfordshire’s The Big Festival and Festival No.6 in Portmeirion. They’ll also be supporting Manic Street Preachers at Newcastle’s Times Square.
