The Anglo/French four-piece have made a huge stance in their careers since their debut EP ‘Le Surfing’, only last year. The band consists of Rory (vocals / piano), Jed (drums), Rob (guitar), Pete (bass). They all met at Le Surfing, a bar owned by Pete’s cousin Woodie in the French beach town of Hossegor.
Their latest single ‘On The Road’ has gravel-edged vocals once again from Rory, whilst their backed by guitar for the first few bars until the song bursts into life and chords are thrown left, right and centre as the track picks up its intensity. It’s reminiscent of their previous catalogue in that sense, but with new instrumental direction creating a whole new vibe that we love.
Sunset Sons had some time over the summer getting appearance at Kendal Calling and Reading and Leeds Festival, and are now on the road with Imagine Dragons for their ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ tour across Europe and the UK.
