Everywhere are an alt-pop quintet from Stockholm. The band includes; Max Berga (vocals, guitar), Filip Severinson (keyboards), Walle Wahlgren (Drums), Marcel Karlsson (guitar) and Mikael Ingegaard (Bass). They recently announced the release of their latest single ‘Shades At Night’. It’s taken from their second EP, due for release in 2016.
Recorded in EastWest Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Mark Needham (Fleetwood Mac, Blondie). The band made their first UK appearance at the 2013 NME after-party, playing alongside Django Django and Palma Violets, and later went on to support the Kaiser Chiefs. Impressive first impressions.
It’s not very often that we see Scandinavian pop make its way over to the UK, but with a feature on BBC Radio 2’s playlist, and with a band very keen to impress its UK audience. They’ve hit the sweet spot. ‘Shades At Night’ has an aesthetically pleasing pop sound, with an added echo to Max’s voice when shouting ‘You wear you shades at night’ just before steamrolling into the fast passed chorus.
With more songs coming soon, they are up on top with the likes of ‘The Royal Concept’ and ‘Satellite Stories’.
