Listen: D.I.D – Flush

D.I.D

As always, D.I.D – formerly Dog Is Dead – have managed to collaborate harmoniously, dulcet descants sufficient to verify their indie credentials, appealing to a large diversity of listeners. The band mentioned on their Instagram that their new single, ‘Flush’, was the first part of some very special news to be later announced, following their year-long break since releasing ‘Fast Food’.

Eerily stifled with a subdued melody is the foundation of the opening to the track; the song continues to find its footing with the introduction of their signature, easily distinguishable vocals. The melancholy yet buoyant ambiance is reminiscent to the previous gallery of works by the Nottingham ensemble; manipulation of keyboard phrases and backing vocals assist the effervescence and fluid progression of the single, helping the lads surpass themselves with the impressive array of talent demonstrated in the four and a half minutes.

These guys sure know how to produce a catchy number; with progressively anthemic repetition and uplifting choruses, D.I.D has sparked a storm among the indie community.

Remaining loyal and true to the sound so unique to this band has fared them well in the past and has continued to do so with the release of ‘Flush’; big things are to be soon expected from these guys.
