Indie four-piece from Brighton keep on getting it right.
Black Honey, after the masterpiece they released in September ‘Corrine’, are back with a new single and it hasn’t failed to impress.
The band, fronted by the haunting vocals of Izzy Baxter, released ‘All my Pride’ on the 29th of March, a fresh song that strays slightly from the Lana Del Ray-esque moroseness of their previous singles by adding an upbeat chorus with a catchy repeated electric guitar riff. This makes the song hard to forget, and with its empowering lyrics from an impassioned Baxter telling the world to leave her alone after the person she loved had gone with- well- all her pride, it leaves us hotly anticipating the release of their new ep.
The track will feature on ‘Headspin’, an ep to be released on April 29th,that the band allegedly recorded over two weeks in the countryside of Normandy. And after this teaser of what’s to come, we are expecting big things from this up and coming group.
