Lauran Hibberd drops music video for album lead ‘Still Running (5k)’

Lauran Hibberd is still busy running a 5k as she shares her music video for the lead single taken from her forthcoming debut album.

The Isle of Wight slacker pop queen is exploring her “self-destructive ideals” with help from Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal, who features on the track.

Brimming with charisma and satire-fuelled hits, Hibberd has been building herself up to this moment for years; he debut LP ‘Garageband Superstar’ is set for release on August 19th as she prepares to enter the next phase in her phenomenal development.

Detailing the inspiration behind the video, Hibberd explained: “Shooting this video in my hometown on the Isle of Wight was so funny because I’ve spent so long trying to get off and avoid anything to do with it.

“The track itself is all about that gravitational pull to the place you grew up even though everyone has already left it.

“It felt right to film it here, on the windiest day of the year. Never thought someone would fly from Berlin to film my prancing around ryde esplanade but I rate it.”

‘Still Running (5k)’ sees the indie sensation team up once more with esteemed producer Larry Hibbitt (Nothing But Thieves, Don Broco, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Sea Girls) and signifies Hibberd’s spectacular ascent towards the forefront of the emerging indie elite ahead of her eagerly anticipated debut record.
