From the Isle of Wight to the national stages, Hibberd’s boundless potential is exemplified to perfection in her latest anthemic reveal, as she partners with esteemed producer Suzy Shinn (Weezer, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Dua Lipa) for another rip-roaring addition to her catalogue of hits.
The bombastic new slice of slacker rock follows on from the satire-fuelled Goober EP in the summer, attracting rave reviews, including a 9.2 from ourselves.
Lauran Hibberd shows no sign of slowing, despite the heart-breaking theft of their equipment, as her impeccable songwriting takes centre stage once again on ‘Charlie’s Car’.
Detailing her newest single, Hibberd explained: “I think everyone has a ‘Charlie’ in their life. It’s ironic that this totally unreasonable behaviour is something I find myself thirsty for.
“WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME? This track is definitely just a down spiralling array of unhealthy events that I find myself (as always) coating in infamous comedy.”
All pleasing signs ahead as rumblings of her debut LP earmarked for release next year.
