Sheffield group Knaves are the new indie/alternative feel good band on our radar these past few weeks. Knaves, the Sheffield based quartet band with Dan Cunningham as Guitar/Vocals, Nick Iatridis-Jones on Guitar/Vocals, Niall O’Donnell on Bass/Vocals and Will Lloyd on the Drums/Vocals.
With the recent release of their EP ‘Suncatcher’, It’s incredibly surprising that the band has had such little attention. Only bagging themselves 187 followers (and counting) on SoundCloud and steady following on Spotify, I predict nothing but success from here on out. Showcasing four songs on their EP (Roxy, 95, Stalemate and Deep End), the band aren’t giving too much away, apart from setting the stone on their individual style that has very few comparisons

My only gripe? They’re a bit to fluffy. Indie isn’t supposed to be soft. Indie is expressive and rough and they just don’t cut the mark; meaning they fall more into the alternative category. I think that with a little more edge and bass, these guys would rock the bloody socks off a crowd
But what I truly love about this band is there’s nothing complicated about their progressions which make them incredibly easy to listen to and as a whole enjoyable for all audiences.
