ICM Founder and Editor Alex Pearson is currently raising money for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance as he embarks on the Abbots Langley’s gruelling Tough 10 in October.
The course, which is in its 37th Annual year, takes you around the picturesque villages of Abbots Langley, Bedmond and Kings Langley in Hertfordshire. With the event aiming to raise funds for local charities and causes, Alex has chosen to support the vital work of the air ambulance, who Alex informed us “need a staggering £750,000 every month to keep running”.
The service relies on its donations to save lives.
Alex, 22, is currently taking part in a three-month training programme for the event. Speaking to ICM about his progress, Alex admitted that it would be a hard challenge but hopes his training will make him reach the finish line.
He said: “I’ve just started to get back into the swing of things as my fitness levels aren’t what they used to be like. I wasn’t half bad at school, but I’m just not ready for 10km just yet!”
With his running shoes on and the recent single ‘Silhouettes’ by Friendly Fires in his earphones – Alex is motivated and ready to tackle the gruelling course.
Good luck Alex! Thank you for choosing to support us 🙂 #WeCantFlyWithoutYou https://t.co/56tcNgYDaB
