Hertfordshire’s rising indie pop duo HUNYBEES have returned with new single ‘Let Me Love You’.
Following on from a successful starting year with singles like ‘Ecstacy’ and ‘Better This Time’, it was topped with a Best Music Video nomination at the ICM Awards 2020.
Known for their fun and up tempo indie pop anthems, HUNYBEES take it down a notch on ‘Let Me Love You’. Focusing their efforts on the versatile rawness to frontman Charlie Preston’s writing, and the band’s style previously heard in their releases.
The soft guitars set the foundations as Preston’s charismatic vocals glide over the melodies. Usually his voice is dominant in the band’s songs, but more so in Let Me Love You’ as they get nostalgic on good times and sweet memories.
Speaking about the song, HUNYBEES said: “Let Me Love You is an important song for us to release at this moment of time.
“It’s one of our oldest songs that I wrote for those close to me, in particular my band mates.
“It’s all about good memories and appreciating the time you’ve spent with people.
”The open, glistening guitar sounds with a driven lead sends you back to better days when things were easier.
“Under the guitar solo we recorded our families singing along, bringing on all those nostalgic feels and bringing to light the importance of collectiveness during difficult times.”
HUNYBEES Taking influence from The Stokes and The Magic Gang, HUNYBEES are capturing an audience at rapid speed. With their wide-range of music already under their belts Preston and co-star Louis Bailey have shown they’ve got what it takes.
