Hottest Gigs Of The Week 9/10/18

Hottest Gigs
Hottest Gigs

We’re now well and truly in the throes of October, which means that we can soon start getting ready for the most haunted holiday of all; Halloween! If you’re not sure on how to spend your October before carving pumpkins and trick or treating, don’t worry because we’ve got some #HottestGigs lined up to knock your socks off in the meantime!

Wednesday 10th of October
Waterfront Studio, Norwich

Second to take the spotlight this week are Scottish alternative rock trio, ‘Fatherson’.

Hailing from Kilmarnock, these lads are here to deliver some raw, crashing drum beats accompanied with kickass rousing riffs. If you’re a fan of Twin Atlantic, then these guys are for you; not too heavy, but also far from tame.

Sea Girls
Thursday 11th of October
Mama Roux’s, Birmingham.

With a perhaps more mainstream sound, Sea Girls rein in our Wednesday slot.

Boisterous, lighthearted and ultimately refreshing. These guys boast seriously electrifying musical energy that I can only imagine translates impeccably across to their live shows.

Saturday 13th of October
The Welly Club, Hull

When it comes to Blaenavon,’s catalogue, what you may find is that it’s a rather mixed bag in the best possible way.  Perhaps you’re after some more reserved indie pop in the form of “A Death in the Family”, or maybe you fancy something that’s more of a sing-along bop, like; ‘Orthodox Man’

Whatever you want, don’t worry because these Hampshire lads cater to all. Somehow they find a suited balance between chaotic and calm which compliment each other sensationally. Don’t just take my word for it, find out for yourself this Saturday.

Sunday 14th of October
Llanelli Library, Llanelli

Leaning towards the more chaotic side of the spectrum lie the raucous and untameable likes of Estrons.

With an absolute vocal powerhouse behind the helm in the form of, Tali Källström, it’s hard not to be drawn into their trade sound and oh so recognisable guitar stylings. These guys are beyond a force to be reckoned with, and I truly believe that this is not a gig you can afford to let slip by!

If that isn’t a compelling enough argument, check out what we thought of their track ‘Glasgow Kisses’ back in 2017.

That’s that for #HottestGigs today, hopefully, you found something that tickled your fancy. If not then don’t worry, as The Finsbury Pub’s Blogtober event is still on and will be for the remainder of October.Tonnes of phenomenal blogs putting on exceptional shows that might just be what you’re looking for. Check out the lineup ‘Here’.

As always let me know if there are any upcoming gigs that you feel need to be featured in next weeks #HottestGigs or a future edition.
Until next time, hope you have a great week of gigs.
