Glass Peaks: ‘Misery’ – MAM Song of the Week

Glass Peaks

Inspired by Stephen King’s novel of the same name, ‘Misery’ by Bexley-based three-piece Glass Peaks is our pick for Song of the Week.

The band wrote the song after watching the 1987 film adaption of King’s novel, and lead singer Alfie Jeffries comments the track is “a commentary on addictive personalities in the modern age.”

The song offers an encapsulating opening half, driven by Jeffries engaging vocal. The second half of the song builds to a powerful finale, with a punchy guitar riff signalling the start of a monster finish.
