Friendly Fires in the Radio 1 live lounge

What were you doing at lunchtime today, because Friendly Fires were on BBC Radio 1 for day two of live lounge month.

The St Albans trio returned after eight years to release their third album Inflorescent and the guys decided to play their hit single ‘Silhouettes’.

It’s one of my favourites off the LP and Greg James from Radio 1 has given the single its praises on his breakfast show for its lad-ish lyrics that’s catchy and easily the perfect song to mosh pit when the chorus drops.

Ed Macfarlane, Jack Savidge and Edd Gibson also gave us a cover of Meduza’s ‘Piece Of Your Heart’. Now if you’ve ever listened the song you’ll understand why this is literally Friendly Fires all over – it is the perfect pop song for the lads to perform.

Go check it out below and let us know what you think!

Friendly Fires will be heading on a European tour in the autumn. Check out some of the dates and tickets below.

October 30 – The Roundhouse, London
November 1 – O2 Institute, Birmingham
November 2 – Albert Hall, Manchester
November 4 – The Academy, Dublin
