Turtle Tempo: Ameythsts – ‘Pressure Makes Diamonds

Alt-pop duo Amethysts have just released the first single from their highly anticipated debut album which is on the horizon. “Pressure Makes Diamonds” is the first release this year from East Anglians Simon & Clarice.

The production of their new single is seriously cool and a masterpiece. Someone contact NASA because these mind-melting synths are from another universe.

Friday's Finest pick from It's All Indie - Biffy Clyro

It’s All Indie: Biffy Clyro – ‘Instant History’

Biffy Clyro has been known for famously for being a mainstay in the UK alt-rock scene, providing brilliant albums and soundtracks as well as breathtaking live shows. But their latest single, “Instant History,” embraces a more pop feel while maintaining their rock roots. “‘Instant History’ is the biggest, most slammest pop moment we’ve ever worked on,” lead singer Simon Neil said. It’s certainly one of their most pop heavy song to date, but one thing still remains, it’s still Biffy Clyro!

Smoke Fairies are a duo that has been building momentum for some time now. And it could be argued that this momentum has resulted in the fantastic new album ‘Darkness Brings The Wonders Home’. Made up of Katherine Blamire and Jessica Davies, the pair have always released music that is both touching and memorable. With their latest release being no different and placing them at the top of the Rock charts. They’re a duo that most will wish they found sooner than our introduction to them, but you’re welcome nonetheless.

Friday's Finest - The Rezner

ICM: The Rezner – ‘Wouldn’t You Like To Know’

Without a doubt one of the most exciting up and coming bands around at the minute is The Rezner. Their new single ‘Wouldn’t You Like To Know’ comes in the form of a knockout punch and transcends the Cornwall quartet’s incredible DIY ethic over the last two years. Screeching guitar work and a pounding backbeat lay the foundations for a riot of a track that will do some serious damage on the dancefloor.

On creating the track, lead singer Sam Stone added: Inspired by the buzz of the crowd at recent shows, ‘Wouldn’t you like to know’ puts you straight into the mind of a character who is preparing to sack the day off work.

“He has lost the plot with everyone who surrounds him at his day to day job and is preparing arguments to have in his own head before they have even happened, which is driving him to the brink of insanity.

“He often wonders if they will even notice when he doesn’t turn up to work. Wouldn’t they like to know? Where he’s been? Where he’s hiding? Where he’s going to be for the day? This is something that the younger generation of workers face on a day to day basis, and we’ve had enough.”

The Rezner has three live shows left on their single showcase. Find tickets here.
